Loving Thoughts from Stephen Ministry

It's Coming up to Christmas,
We have been blessed with the things we need...
I'd like to set a challenge,
For us all to do a good deed...
Donate a 'Toy' to a charity,
Some 'pet food' to the pound...
Some clothing to a charity store,
There are so many to be found...
There are many things that we can do,
At this special time of Year...
To reach out the other's,
And just show them that we care...
Don't think 'it won't make a difference',
Whether your act is big or small
It will bring such joy to 'someone'
There's a 'Santa' in us all....   Mary G
Always remember:  The greatest gift you ever own is not found in the shops or under your Christmas tree.  It is found in the hearts of family and friends and in your service to others.
Happy Holidays and a Very Merry  Christmas from all of us at Stephen Ministry.

Christmas Festival Program and Cookie Exchange

This year we are having a very unique Christmas Program.  Instead of performing during service, we are going to have a special performance on Sunday December 11th at 2p.m.  We will sing some Christmas hymns and perform our Christmas Program.  We will follow with a Christmas cookie exchange.  Please bring a dozen cookies to eat right after the program and another dozen to share with others to take home.  So you bring 2 dozen and take a dozen home with you from other peoples cookie/treat creations.  Hope to see you there to support our youth!
Blue Christmas Service
For some, Christmas is not always joyful; for those who are confronted with loss of loved ones, feeling isolated and alone, perhaps even feeling depressed.  On Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. we will be having our special annual Blue Christmas service.  A night we remember and place our hope in Christ.  All are welcome.

Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.  (Proverbs 22:6)
Children’s enthusiastic expressions of faith can help transform the church and everyone in it.  Our hope is to partner with families to help guide the spiritual growth of our young ones.  To teach them of God’s love and his promises and to build on their desire to actively live and love as Jesus has taught us.

Wednesday Afternoon Club (Summer)

If you are or know a kid who is too old for Daycare, but too young to work and just needs something to do……WAC is for them!!  We will be meeting this summer for the month of June and also July 9 and July 16 from 12-5 and just having some fun.  We will meet in Wesley Hall and we will have lunch and then do any number of activities.  We will be watching movies, playing games, service projects, bowling and just having fun.  Bring friends and meet new friends!!  EVERYONE is welcome.

Kids First accepts all children ages 6 weeks – 13 years, regardless of race, color, sex, creed, religion, national or ethnic origin, handicap or medical condition provided the established program can meet the needs of the individual child with reasonable accommodations.
